"unauthorized linking" to Bill O'Reilly

Lawrence Lessig points to the folks who gathered the data to produce Outfoxed ("We watch FOX so you don't have to") being threatened by Bill O'Reilly's lawyers for "unauthorized linking" to a column about Buster The Bunny, which O'Reilly and the Education Secretary claim includes "a subliminal "gay is OK" message."

One of the commenters points out that the syndication company wants users "to SIGN A CONTRACT if you wish to link to their site."

I may be in trouble - I've not only linked, but I've quoted, without authorization OR a contract.

What I say, let 'em sue me. It's their bread and if they want to waste it trying to get me, more power to 'em. If they try, the 1st call will be to my lawyer, the next will be to the 6 o'clock news. If O'Reilly thinks he had a problem with the woman he sexually harassed, wait until I take a bite out his ass.
